New Zealand's Maori Party struck a deal Wednesday to support the new center-right government, but Prime Minister John Key refused to say whether he would honor their demands that he safeguard indigenous rights.
Maori Party co-leader Tariana Turia said party members would soon be consulted to decide whether to accept the deal.

For the Inuit, it was 90 times higher. Pacific Islanders and Maoris are at least 10 times more likely to contract tuberculosis (TB) than other people living in New Zealand.
