The Contact Form

The Contact Form is distinct from the webforms and registration form found on this site. Built using the Contact module, it is used purely for communication as opposed to user registration or gathering subscription information.

It also allows a personal contact form to be activated for each user account. Persons with User Administration rights may use these forms to send messages to users' registered email addresses.

You can modify the contact form by the following steps:

CAPTCHA Verification

The Contact Form includes additonal fields that require the user to answer a simple math question. This measure, courtesy of the CAPTCHA module helps verify whether the form is being filled out by an actual person or a spam robot.

Aside from answering a math question, other types of verification are available. You can also determine when the verifications will appear. To access these options:

  1. Go to Administer > User Management > CAPTCHA
  2. On the Challenge Type Per Form panel, you can activate three types of challenges per form
    • Math
    • Image
    • Text
  3. You can also set the Persistence settings and decide whether incorrect responses will be logged.
