Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law at Victoria University of Wellington, Carwyn holds a BA and an LLB from Victoria University of Wellington, an MA from York University, Toronto, and a PhD from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. His primary research interests relate to the Treaty of Waitangi and Indigenous legal traditions, and he has published numerous articles on these topics.
